MGS Assists with Approvals for Purdy Avenue Project

MM Real Estate Partners is planning a mixed-use building to revitalize area in downtown Rye

A new mixed-use building will revitalize a lot on Purdy Avenue in the heart of downtown Rye thanks to approvals granted by the City of Rye with the assistance of McCullough, Goldberger & Staudt, LLP.

Two out-of-date buildings at the corner of Purdy Avenue and 2nd Street will be demolished to make way for the construction of a three-story structure planned by MM Real Estate Partners LLC.

The new building will contain a ground-floor lobby, parking and retail space, and two floors of rental apartments. In addition to the eight two-bedroom units, the plan also calls for rooftop amenity space and basement storage areas for residential and retail tenants.

MGS played an integral role in obtaining variance approval from the Rye Board of Appeals and Site Plan approval from the Rye Planning Commission, to permit the proposed redevelopment.

“We believe this project will revitalize the site, improve the value of the property, and greatly enhance this parcel in the City’s downtown ,’’ said MGS Partner Steven Wrabel. “We were pleased to be able to assist MM Real Estate in helping to make this project a reality.’’
