McCullough, Goldberger & Staudt, LLP Integral in the Approval of YMCA Move to St. John’s School Building
White Plains NY – February, 2021 – As a result of land use approvals secured by McCullough, Goldberger & Staudt, LLP, the YMCA of Central and Northern Westchester is has been able to relocate its childcare operations to a White Plains building owned by St. John the Evangelist and Our Lady of Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Church.
The building at 148 Hamilton Avenue formerly housed an elementary school which was closed by the New York Archdiocese in 2006.
“We can’t thank McCullough, Goldberger & Staudt enough for their assistance in helping us to get the approvals we needed to move forward with relocating our early learning center operations,’’ said Cynthia Rubino, President and CEO of the YMCA of Central and Northern Westchester. “Since the building at St. John’s formerly housed an elementary school it is the perfect location for our early learning center and will be convenient for families in the area.”
The daycare is serving 145 pre-school children, 12 teachers and 10 administrative staff. It operates weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The relocation was necessary since the YMCA is in the process of selling its current building at 250 Mamaroneck Avenue.
“We are pleased that we were able to help the YMCA of Central and Northern Westchester with the move,’’ said Charlie Goldberger, Partner with McCullough, Goldberger & Staudt, LLP. “The new location is really an ideal solution since it repurposes an existing building, has little impact on the neighborhood and is beneficial to all parties.’’
