The Westchester Parks Foundation recently welcomed more than 50 employees from Fujifilm, located in Valhalla, for their annual Volunteer Day.

Fujifilm donated their time to help maintain and preserve the beauty of the Kensico Dam Plaza as part of their commitment to the Westchester Parks Foundation and the community.

During the event, held on Wednesday, September 7, staff members of Fujifilm cleaned and polished the “Circle of Remembrance” that rings The Rising, Westchester County’s September 11th Memorial. This volunteer effort was done to prepare for the annual memorial ceremony on September 11. The “Circle of Remembrance” includes the group of granite blocks that have the names of Westchester County residents who perished in the 9/11 attacks. In addition to cleaning and polishing the “Circle of Remembrance,” Fujifilm staff members mulched and cleaned other areas of the park.
